Blitz Coaching Staff – Promote From Within.
The London Blitz organisation is excited to
announce that Defensive Backfield Coach, Mike Callan will be promoted to
Assistant Head Coach.
Head Coach, Mark Moss said, “This is an exciting
move for us, Mike had a very successful first year with the Blitz and the DB’s
progressed into one of the finest units on the team"
Callan, who had coached Xavier High School
(Connecticut) in the US, certainly has the pedigree, as Xavier's WR/DB coach in
2006 numerous of his players won state and local awards, including Alondre
Rush, who was an All-State Connecticut High School Coaches Association DB for
Xavier.
On his promotion Coach Callen said, “I am
extremely honoured to have been given this opportunity with the London Blitz.
I will do everything I can to continue working with the players and coaches and
continue the tradition the Blitz has in place. In the short time I have
been at the club it is a pleasure to be thought of as a coach that can help the
team more than just as a positional coach. I am excited for the upcoming
season and the future of the club. The future continues to look bright for Big
Blue.
