As the season reached its climax last weekend the Falcons
are moving forward to the 2009 season. With the new coaching line up announced
they have put together the off season schedule. The Falcons start back on the 4th
January with the rookie camps and testing for existing squad members

This announcement comes in conjunction with the news of
the Falcons have secured a new training facility for the winter months. They
will be making use of the Dome on Belvoir Drive, Aylestone. The dome is the
indoor training facility that Leicester City uses. The dome has 2 full sized third
generation Astroturf pitches and will allow the Falcons to train unhindered
from the rigors of the British winter. The Falcons would like to thank the
Leicester YMCA’s Theresa and Jag for helping to secure this indoor facility.
“This is an amazing facility and we have done very well to
secure its use. The quality of this facility shows the ambition that this club
has to continually improve and grow”, said Guy Kersey,
Coach Hopewell commented ‘’I can only hope the dedication
shown by the Falcon front office is reflected by our players. People have been
working diligently behind the scenes to make all these improvements happen.
From top to bottom we are all rolling up our sleeves and getting to work, I
guarantee that our work ethic will pay huge dividends come next season’’
The Falcons will be training there from 4th
January until the end of March, Sundays at 2:30pm, all comers are welcome to
have coach Hopewell put them through their paces, both experienced and rookies.
