The Hampshire Thrashers will be holding an Open Day on the 7th December for anyone interested in American football. As well as looking to bolster their senior team which has been knocking on the door of the playoffs for the last 2 years the Thrashers are now setting up a Youth kitted team.

Thrashers prevail over Mavericks

Hampshire Thrashers took a significant step in their 2008 season as they beat a much improved Mavericks side at Winchester Rugby Club on Sunday as the summer finally arrived. Despite a significant amount of game day absentees the Thrashers coaching staff was able to shuffle the pack and record the win against a confident team from East Kent.

Hampshire Thrashers continued their good form at the start of the 2008 season as they maintained their unbeaten home record at Winchester. In 2007 the Cornish Sharks had a fierce defense but the new look Thrashers offense took control and swept them aside.

The Hampshire Thrashers opened the 2008 season with a home game against the Plymouth Admirals. Due to torrential rain the previous 2 days right up to the kick off the field was always likely to limit both teams.
