The Hampshire Thrashers are pleased to announce a link with Sporting Chance UK Ltd. The company has been set up to help bring awareness and the opportunity to play a wide variety of sports to schools across the south of England. This will take the form of specialist player/coaches visiting local schools and clubs.

One of the first focuses will be American Football. As most people are aware, the sport has been growing within the UK at a rapid rate. The British American Football League, together with university and youth programs, has an ever increasing number of teams with quality always improving.

The Mayor of Winchester visits one of the Thrashers rookie days along with sponsor Peter Stratton of Ardaunt.
As part of the link with Sporting Chance UK Ltd the Thrashers will have access to a host of qualified American player/coaches to help improve all areas of the team. The coaching period will run from April until September.

The team has already taken giant strides from last year after completing its first two Rookie open days (sponsored by Ardaunt). These days added a number of high quality players who in turn are benefiting from the move to Winchester, as this has allowed mid-week training under floodlights.
