Surge On The Move

The Staffordshire Surge are delighted to announce that they have secured a new venue for the 2006 season. They will be playing their home games at Stoke Rugby Club, in the Road to BritBowl XX campaign.

The club trains at Northwood Stadium in Stoke – on - Trent, and with its strong links with the Staffordshire Stallions University team and the development of a youth team, they have been searching for a suitable venue within the city area.

Stoke Rugby Club is near the village of Barlaston and is easily accessed from major link roads. The Surge have secured the rugby club’s first pitch and which has a covered stand for up to one hundred spectators, this move provides an exciting opportunity for the clubs development and future. The first home game will be this Sunday, 21st May, when the Surge host last seasons Division 2 Champions Coventry Cassidy Jets.
