In preparation for the 2009 BAFL season the Essex Spartans will be holding open player trials, for rookies and experienced players, on the 16^th and 23^rd of November.

The Essex Spartans are pleased to announce the twinning of the football club with The Billerica Memorial High in Massachusetts. The Town of Billerica has been twinned with Billericay in Essex where the Spartans have played their homes games for the last ten years.

Essex Spartans have been requested by Basildon District Council to provide players and coaches to go into schools around the area to promote what is to them a relatively new sport for youngsters.
