The Rams and St Lukes are running a number of incentives, the first of which is a mentoring scheme for their all female focus group. Meeting every Wednesday evening at St Lukes Unity House centre on Beeston Hill, the group gather to discuss ideas related to the day to day running of the Yorkshire Rams.

As a consequence, the group have taken responsibility for a number of key roles with the Black and Gold organisation. Gameday and practice management are now in the hands of the group and roles as diverse as merchandising, turnstile management, stats, corporate hospitality and fund raising have been assigned.

Rams CEO Mike Cluskey was delighted to announce the initiative today and was keen to point out the work put in by Saima Hussain, a sports development officer at the project. Mike commented, "the contribution of Saima Hussain in driving forward this exciting initiative was key in persuading both the Rams and myself to invest time and effort into the project, as a national representative Rugby League player herself, she understands better than many the need for quality backroom staff at a sports club".

From the registration of the players, collection of stats, hosting of sponsors and guests to the running of the turnstile and merchandising programme we are now aided by an enthusiastic crew of volunteers. the bonus is they are willing to learn anything you throw at them and have embraced the game of American Football fully". He concluded by saying "Volunteers are the lifeblood of every team and I want to thank them for their enthusiasm and     commitment so far".
