After last weekends defeat at the hands of the Shropshire Revolution the Hull Hornets will be shaking themselves down and taking stock if they want to rescue any hopes of play off contention. It may seem out of reach now but it is still possible for them make it or at least upset the apple cart a little. This weekend sees them facing off against the Nottingham Caesars which should prove to be a good game after their previous match up in week 17 which saw the Caesars win by a single touchdown. If the Hornets can pull themselves together and record a win this weekend it opens the door for the East Midland Saxons to contend for the Central title if they beat Shropshire this weekend.

The Hornets will be hoping the Revolution can produce another win against the Saxons this weekend, as if they do and the Hornets beat Nottingham it means the rescheduled game against the Saxons in week 20 will decide who goes to the playoffs. With the rest of the Division 2 playoff spots just about wrapped all eyes will be on this weekends games with a lot riding on them for some teams.

With only two games left in the season the Hornets offensive line will be looking for leading rusher  Kurt Jn Pierre to break a 1000 yard rushing season as he has to buy them all a meal, and not to be outdone quarterback Martin Pepper will be looking to add a few more passing touchdowns before the season’s out.

The Hornets are playing at Hayworth Park this weekend kick off is 2.30pm with the bar open from 12:00pm for refreshments and food served in the clubhouse afterwards. Directions to the Hornets ground can be found at http://my.sporthull.co.uk/default.asp?WCI=SiteHome&ID=12795&PageID=77454
