Gladiator’s
dance team gets Sloppy!!!
The Colchester Gladiators Dance Team dropped in to Sloppy Joe’s
American Bar and Diner on recently to celebrate the popular eatery’s renewed sponsorship
deal with the Gladiators.
Sloppy
Joe’s has supported the Gladiators for many years and manager Paul Self was on
hand to ink a new deal for 2009, committing to a financial and member’s
benefits deal.
The
dance team are still looking to recruit anyone from age 13 is eligible to join
the group. Dance experience is preferred but not essential but an interest in
and enjoyment of dancing is! The evening is at their regular training centre,
Sir Charles Lucas Sports Centre and anyone interested will be able to meet the
team and trainer, Laura Rampton of LR Danceworks, and have a go at one or more
of the routines.
The
Dance Team’s regular training session is on Thursday evenings at 8.30pm at the
Sports Centre, where they work hard on new routines to show off at the
Gladiators home and away games, and at many appearances in and around
Colchester throughout the year. Their first scheduled appearance of the new
season will be at the Gladiators preseason home game against the Norwich Devils
on Sunday 29th March at Wivenhoe Town FC, kick off 2.30pm.
