The 21st Cambridgeshire Cats training camp is underway, and the team look forward to their 2006 campaign with a brand new website www.cambridgeshirecats.com, but the same hard-nosed attitude that has earned them the reputation of being one of the toughest teams in the British American Football League.

The Cats will be competing in the Division Two East conference, squaring off against the likes of Norwich, Colchester and cross-county rivals the East Midland Saxons, in what promises to be one of the most exciting and anticipated match-ups in the league.

The team is pleased to announce the return of head coach Rick Bice, who is looking to build on the solid foundations he set during his debut season. By committing to a player development programme over the next three years, which started with practices beginning last October, he intends to turn the Cambridge-based club into a powerhouse with designs on returning to Division One.

If you would like to become a part of the Cats family during this exciting time, please contact Rick Bice  at rpbice@aol.com or team manager Paul Wheal (01223 564 822) in the first instance. The team trains at Coldham Common, Cambridge, every Sunday at twelve o'clock sharp. New players are strongly encouraged to join, and will be made to feel most welcome, regardless of experience.
