The Birmingham Bulls are delighted to announce the signing of their new quarterback James Horn.
James is 22 years old and has great arm strength, accuracy and has all the leadership skills the Bulls are looking for. James has previously played for Derby University and Plymouth University and has represented the Northern All-Stars in 2006 and 2007. James has also represented the Great Britain Bulldogs in the Tri – Nations Tournament in 2005 and the Los Angeles tour in 2006.
James travelled to meet the Bulls at their practice ground last week and met up with a few familiar faces from his BCAFL days and said, “I am really excited about the prospect of playing Premier league football and also to a long and productive future with a great team like the Birmingham Bulls.”
Steve “ House “ Hannington said, “ We managed to get James through our great connections with the University scene and I have to thank all the guys involved for helping me recruit some great guys this year. We will be announcing more very soon.”
“James is a great guy who fits brilliantly into our new fresh approach, and we hope to build a dynamic offense around him for many years to come. He stepped right up on Sunday and he delivered straight away. We are all excited about having James on the team." House went on to say, “We are all very saddened at the news that the great London Olympians will be pulling out the league for this season. The Bulls and the Os have produced some of the best games Britball has ever seen and we will miss banging heads this year. On behalf of everyone at the Bulls, we wish the Olympians organisation all the very best and we offer our support whenever they may need it. I am sure they will rise to the top once again.”
