The Plymouth Admirals are looking for a Head Coach to advance the senior team
through 2009, the club’s 25th anniversary season, and beyond. The club compete
in BAFL Division 2 South West where they have finished 4th in each of the last
5 years.
The applicant must have previous coaching experience, but not necessarily in a
Head Coach role. We would also welcome those with the desire and commitment to
make the step-up from a co-ordinator position
With regular graduates from the Admirals youth program, a good crop of BUAFL
players from Plymouth and beyond, and a large catchment area the club has the
potential to be competitive. This has been clear to see at times in the past 2
seasons and with the support of a fresh committee the opportunity to progress
is there. We need a Head Coach with the vision to make it happen.
Currently the team trains on Sundays from 11am, but this is open to change and
expansion. A return to our preferred training facility means we now have access
to
• A newly laid grass pitch
• 2 Indoor sports halls
• Gym and weights room
• State of the art classrooms with AV facilities
• An astroturf area (at another nearby venue)
As well as stocks of player equipment the club also has most other standard
training equipment. A major grant application has recently been submitted
which, if successful, will significantly boost all these areas as well as
enhancing the club’s appearance, game day experience and marketing
We realise that there may be persons interested that currently have other
commitments, so all applications will be treated with the utmost discretion.
Please ask further questions or make your interest known by contacting us with
details of your experience, coaching philosophy, and plans for the future on
plymouthadmirals@hotmail.co.uk
or 07780 717752
Closing Date for applications will be 30th September 2008.
